Some more Hanako Trivia:

In one of the beta endings, you find out that Hanako had a boy confess to her previously. Her anxiety got the better of her and she ran away, but the boy followed and got hit by a car - dying. This trauma actually causes her to freak out when Hisao almost kills himself due to his bad heart by chasing after her. She literally goes mental and ends up in a hospital. This path leads to her bad endings. 

Bad Ending 1 - Hisao has a heart attack and dies trying to see Hanako in the mental hospital before he's healed up from some injuries he sustains. 

Bad Ending 2 - Hanako is on anti-depressants and gets strange. Her and Hisao have sex (with Hanako thinking this is all Hisao wants from her). One thing leads to another and Hisao ends up falling and breaking his neck. As he dies the last thing Hanako says is "Disgusting."

Bad Ending 3 - Hisao steals Hanako's anti-depressants and goes on a date with her. It seems to be going well, but she is actually massively depressed. On the train platform on their way back to school she throws herself infront of the train and dies.

Despite all this, the Good Ending was actually quite good. Once you obtained it, you saw Hanako develop a much more social and outgoing personality. Her and Hisao form a strong relationship and in the end Hanako visits (for the first time) the place where her home used to be. The ending CG from the release game was actually drawn for this scene - with Hanako collapsing on the ground in front of where her home used to be crying and Hisao wrapping his arms around her. This is likely where her original tag-line "Can you face your fears?" came from. She faces her past (Painful History anyone?) and goes into the future with Hisao.

Finally, even before that beta ending, it was originally intended for Hanako to get pregnant at the end of her arc. This wasn't considered a bad thing as her and Hisao were together and happy to raise the baby. The rumor is that this was taken out of the game due to someone being PC over not wanting to "promote teen pregnancy" (lol, it's just a story people - relax).
