Completely disagree. If he rejected her at the moment she showed him everything she never wanted anyone to see (with obvious romantic implication, which she later comfirmed) he would have destroyed her, and their relationship. She would have though she repulsed him, that her scars, both physical and mental were sickening. She would not recover from being rejected in that state. That said, I'm not a fan of how he intiated their first night, but it's a hell of a lot better than rejecting her, and ruining their relationship, and her possibility of a normal life and recovery.

I'm usually the first person to call a protagonist out on his bs, but this guy's life was flipped on it's head, and expecting tact and sensitivity from a guy who has just had everything he knew torn away from him, and expecting him to not make what the reader may consider obvious mistakes is a tad pretentious.
