Miki Miura (三浦 美貴 Miura Miki) is a member of the Yamaku Academy track team. She only ever interacts with Hisao Nakai during Hanako Ikezawa's route, in which she talks to him about Hanako.

Appearance

Miki is a noticeably darker-skinned girl (compared to most girls in Yamaku) with thigh-length brown hair, dark brown eyes and an athletic build.

Like Rin Tezuka, she wears a male school shirt but unlike Rin, continues to wear a skirt instead of trousers. In the track event CGs during Emi's route she's seen wearing a PE uniform. Again, she seems to have modified her uniform. Instead of the red bloomers the other track team members wear, Miki wears tight black shorts.

Her most distinct feature is her missing left hand where she has a bandaged stump instead and there is no explanation given, but the leaked beta version reveals that she lost her hand in an accident with her father's power tools.

Personality

Miki is a cheerful girl who becomes aware of Hisao's feelings for Hanako, despite his denial.

Like most of her class, Miki is aware of Hanako's panic attack. She shows concern for her, even though she doesn't know her well.

Background

Not much is known about Miki. She is introduced after Hisao befriended Hanako.

Etymology

• The name Miki means "beautiful" (美) (mi) and "valuable" (貴) (ki).
• Miki's surname Miura means "three" (三) (mi) and "bay, creek, inlet, gulf, beach, seacoast" (浦) (ura).

Trivia

• Miki's birthday was given on the Katawa Shoujo Forums by Suriko on 2/19/2010.
• According to Lilly Satou, Miki is the Track and Field team's second-fastest runner after Emi Ibarazaki .
• On December 24th 2014, Suriko released a Miki "path" called Summer's Clover. It is not canon, but does provide a musical theme for Miki named "Carefree Days". This theme is not in the game. The route was made into a playable game (without sprites).
• Miki dislikes math .
• Miki prefers casual names to formality .
