[[File:2Distance.png|thumb|left|Act 3: Distance]]One day during class,Mutou Lecture Hisao and ~~sclod~~ him for sleeping in class,then after class he stop by at the art club seeing Rin talking to Nomiya that she decided to work at the gallery for Sae causing a joyful Nomiya to grab his cellphone in order to call Sae and bringing the two at the [http://katawashoujo.wikia.com/wiki/22nd_Corner_Art_Gallery 22nd Corner Art Gallery].There they meet the gallery owner Sae.Nomiya privately talk to her then he agrees to make Rin work at art gallery.Next day Nomiya manages to convince the principal that Rin will no longer attends to class while still maintaining that she will be still as a student at the Yamaku.Hisao waits for Rin but didn't show up at the hallway so he's goes at her class there he saw Rin sleepsat the last day of her class,while waiting for her to wake up she begins to shed tears believing that she was dreaming,However when she woke up she said that the reason she cries is that she learned to,while the duo are at the the stairs she said to Hisao that she's gonna change.On a Hot day another chat for Emi she was really mad because Rin told her to stay away from her for a while, causing Rin to be isolated from her only friend,after the chat Hisao would either continue at the art club or go to the library~~(depending on the choice)~~.One day Hisao takes a long ride on the bus to visit Rin at the atelier on the top of the gallery building where he waits for her to go talk to him,after waiting Hisao confesses to Rin that he liked her romatically but she delines however she ask if he will come tomorrow.Second day Hisao arbitary visits Rin again ,where she begins to ask him if he was her friends.On the third day Hisao tries to visit her again but this time he visits first at the local convenient store to buy some oranges before hitching a ride in the bus.After arriving at the atelier Hisao manage to temp Rin to take abreak in order to ensure her health.On fourth day Hisao finds Sae and Rin outside at the gallery where they chat about Rin's progress to which that she can't make a dent yet but Sae cheers her up,Rin ask her that if she can have some cigarretes causing a schoking Sae to mechanically give some to her along with a lighter and begs not to tell the teacher.At the atelier Rin tells Hisao that even her old techniques won't work anymore decing that she should destroy herself in order to begin her progress by smoking ~~there~~ she begans to pick up one cigarrete ~~straight from~~ her mouth,then they began to share cigarrete one by one but still wasn't enough so Hisao decides to take a walk with Rin,after they take a trip in town Rin tells Hisao that he should not come visit her causing a stunned Hisao to confess about the painful distance between them and Rin tells him that he can touch her,there he touch Rin in the cheeks and they say their goodbye.On the fifth day Hisao disobidiently goes to the gallery where they had a chat with Nomiya and Sae.Nightfalls Nomiya offers Hisao to drive back home but interrupted by Sae.At the atelier Hisao saw ~~a desperate~~ Rin who was litterally overwhelmed.Hisao embrasses her ~~and unexpectedly~~ Rin ask Hisao to comfort her to which he agrees but stated that this was not what friends should do Rin replies that they can't be friends for ~~now then~~ Hisao begans to comfort her,~~there~~ Rin worries that why he came for her and Hisao ~~confesses~~ that he dind't want to lose her.In the morning before class starts Hisao interpret last night and ask why this art was so important to her to which Rin can't explain cause he would even understand but Hisao acknowleges that he will understand then Rin wanted to do she wants causing Hisao to get enraged cause her decision was too unhealthy for her and ~~isolated~~ from everyone,Hisao ~~departs~~.

If Hisao demands Rin explain what he is to her, she struggles to do so. He becomes angry, feeling used, believing she is treating him as nothing more than a muse, and expresses many of the feelings he thinks in the more supportive storylines. He gets through to her, although not in the way he intended, causing her to stumble trying to offer an explaination, and realizing that she cannot. She demands that he leave, and he does so, returning to his room. He contemplates the strange change that has emerged in their relationship, unable to decide if this change is in him, or in her. Before lying on his bed, he looks at his watch, noting that it is 3:30 am. He considereds how dependable it has been, always "knowing more about what is going on than I do." He looks at the medications lying on his desk, considering how much he will have to depend on these, and considers the time that stretches out before him, before removing the watch. Before fading to sleep, he notes how much time he wasted chasing things out of his reach.
