Takashi Maeda (前田 崇 Maeda Takashi) is a student from class 3-3 and member of Yamaku's art club. Takashi wears a beret and blue vest with his uniform and has bandages over his ear. Takashi suffers from tinnitus, which is not usually, but it can be caused by ear trauma.

He wears a beret which is a common fashion/stereotype of artists. Hisao Nakai implies that they don't get along.

Etymology

  • Written as is, the name Takashi means "esteem, honor, venerate" (崇).
  • Takashi's surname Maeda means "previous" (前) (mae) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).

Trivia

  • Takashi's appearance, particularly his bandaged ear, may have been inspired by Vincent van Gogh, a Dutch painter who famously severed his own left ear after several psychotic episodes.
