Meiko Ibarazaki (茨崎 芽衣子 Ibarazaki Meiko) is the mother of Emi Ibarazaki who has been described as a "taller, older and more mature Emi" (depending on the route, 'more mature' may change to 'better endowed') by Hisao Nakai.

She appears a few times throughout the game. In both Emi's and Rin routes, she shows up to watch Emi run at the school track. Later in Emi's route, she is seen at her house, where Hisao was invited over for dinner.

Personality

Unlike Emi Ibarazaki, Meiko has a teasing sense of humor who has made fun of Hisao Nakai and Rin Tezuka by claiming that they seemed to be dating.

Etymology

• The name Meiko means "bud, sprout" (芽) (me), "clothing, garment" (衣) (i) and "child" (子) (ko).
• Meiko's surname Ibarazaki means "thorn" (茨) (ibara) and "cape, peninsula" (崎) (saki/zaki).

Trivia
