Mai, Takumi, and Shin were Hisao's three closest friends from before he transferred to Yamaku Academy. They are only mentioned by names once in the scene "Out and About," in Act 4 of Lilly's Route. Many days after school, Hisao would hang out with the three of them at the arcade and play many of the games against one another. Mai was notably the best of the four of them at most of the games, always beating the other three. Hisao also notes that Shin and Mai would often fight over the outcome, and that he would be stuck with the task of breaking them up.
