I wonder if the writer for Rin Tezuka purposely made reference to Osamu Tezuka who is credited as the "godfather of anime" or the "father of manga". His last words were, "I'm begging you, let me work!". He spoke these words as a nurse took his drawing board from his hospital bed and encouraged him to get some sleep. Once again, it is similar to Rin Tezuka's question, "Can you seize the day?". It may also be a reference to Sae Saionji's previous relationship with an artist who basically worked himself to death. Either way, I like the fact that the writer for Rin would (either intentionally or unintentionally) compare her to a legendary artist such as Osamu Tezuka.
