Yes but it wasn't a simple decision as that. The two of them were a true love couple and Lilly eventually decided that she couldn't bear being separated from family when she still was having to mask her emotions even in her relationship with hisao, until he proved her wrong, which changed her mind. Basically, the choices were far too hard to make in the time she had, and telling Hisao early would only add biased pressure to a decision she believed she hasmd to make for herself.
