Akira the booze-runner: introducing Hanako the wonderful world of drunkenness!

Darn ... she already has a boyfriend, but such is life.

On the plus side, Akira does not smoke.  It would have been pretty awkward to get Hanako hooked on cigarettes.  Obviously, smoking within the Yamaku would attract the attention of the Yamaku staff.  In addition, nicotine addiction would make Hanako to skip her class even more, since nicotine craving would make her feel even more lousy.
