I really wish they did a good rewrite of her history...

If you compare with Lilly, or Emi where the protagonist is good intended, Intelligent and sort of mature, on Hanako's path he is transformed into a moron, manipulative and rapey (last scene) asshole who takes advantage of her!. His personality differs lots if you compare from any other routes, and not for good....

That is quite anticlimatic, and quite disturbing instead of sweet and moving. It just let me quite cold.
