Hanako Ikezawa
At a young age, Hanako Ikezawa had a traumatic experience that left her life in shambles. Her parents died when their home burned down in an accident, which also disfigured Hanako herself permanently and leaving her in an orphanage. She is extremely shy, shunning from most other people to the point of actually panicking from any social contact. Her only trusted schoolmate is Lilly, who has taken Hanako under her wing ever since the two were introduced to each other.
Her hobbies include chess, reading, billiards and surprisingly, karaoke.
Relationships
Family
Hanako's mother and father were killed in a house fire when she was little, which scarred her horrifically as a result reinforced with the fact that her mother shielded Hanako with her body. She was eventaully orphaned and became a ward of the state, and no other living or dead relatives are mentioned in the story.
Students
Hanako has almost no relationships with anyone other than Lilly. She is shown to be crippled in social situations on multiple occasions and is prone to running away, leaving other students to speculate what had occurred.
Staff
Hanako only interacts with Yamaku's staff members if necessary. Usually teachers, including Mutou, try to give Hanako time to herself and often leads to her secluding herself in the library, even during class. Hanako is also acquaintances with Yuuko through Lilly. She sees a psychiatrist every weekend.
