You see, anon, I think it's like this:

In Lilly's route, Hisao only sees her a friend and treats her as equal. This helps her to get stronger.

In her own route, Hisao falls in love with her and tries to protect her. This leads her to her breakdown and when he doesnt give her her space it leads to her bad/neutral ending.

It was supposed to work like this in the beta version. If you follow Hanako's route, Hisao goes on protecting her too much, and it ONLY leads to bad endings.

To get to Hanako's good ending, you would have to first go Lilly's route, and then he ends up spending too much time with Hanako and they fall in love and nobody gets hurt. It's super cool, I played it. It's even better than the final release Good Ending.
